MSI special session at WCC 2008
During the World Congress of Cardiology which took place in Buenos-Aires (Argentina) on last May, the Metabolic Syndrome Institute held a special scientific session on the “Growing Prevalence in Latin America and its Treatment”.
Three topics were addressed:
- The Emerging Obesity problem in Latin America – Ada Cuevas, MD, Chile
- Drug Therapy for the Dyslipidemia of the Metabolic Syndrome – Jean-Charles Fruchart, PhD, France
- The Metabolic Syndrome as a Risk Factor for Cardiovascular Disease - Scott Grundy, MD, USA
